My New Knitting project

Lovely day here in Wisconsin. 89 degrees! a bit warm but we'll take it. Followed by evening thunderstorms. Hope it continues to rain on into the night. We planted our onion sets tonight and also our Okra seeds to get them started to plant in the ground in May. We also got our order of chicks and ducks today. It's been a few years since I raised chickens and am excited to have them here on the farm. The grandkids love them as well and our dogs well they want to eat them... I think? They are sure cute balls of fuzz at the moment. Spring is here! Yeah! Dawn
Saturday April 18th......2009 A beautiful day here at Pine Ridge. Worked outside all day long. My body feels like it also. Aches and pains! Never knew I could hurt so much. Reighlynn and Eddy helped me so much today. They are both working for money to buy themselves a Ipod Touch! They really are working hard. We are getting some much needed rain tonight. It should brighten things up nicely. Time for bed soon. I am too old for this much work.
Spring is Here!
Another beautiful day here in Western Wisconsin.... I was outside all afternoon raking my flower beds and composting leaves. I even took time to take a snooze in my hammock. Olivia and our guest Chloe joined me in the hammock. My husband worked until dark on tilling up our garden and mixing in our Llama droppings. Now we just need to wait until are plants are ready to plant and the ground is warm enough. Over a month to go for that. I usually plant Memorial day weekend. We have a planting marathon that weekend. Our kids and grandkids all show up for the event... lots of fun and work. Well more work to be done tomorrow so it's off to bed I go... hi ho I go!
Monday at the office
Wow the weekend went way too fast! Back to work.... slow for a Monday! Very quiet as well.. I will keep my fingers crossed... Cold and cloudy today. Wish it would warm up for good! I am so ready to plant my garden and have some flowers and green grass to look at.. I would even take weeds to pull at this moment in time... Thankful to be alive, Dawn
Today was a beautiful day! I woke to sunshine and birds singing outside my window. The grandkids spent the night and were resting soundly when I woke up. Made my coffee and woke the rest of the house and headed to Church. We stopped after worship and ate Chinese food. Yum! Then we headed home. Bucky took the grandkids canoeing while I set up for our Easter Egg hunt and our family gathering.... Nice day all in all..... time for rest.... Dawn
Today was spent cleaning up my yard, patio, and some flower beds. The grandkids are all here working with me. They are working to get money so they can buy ipods. They worked hard. Wore their meemaw right out.... I tried taking a nap in my hammock but no luck. I kept looking around my yard seeing more and more work to be done. I finally went in and got my new book.. "Made from Scratch" I am so inspired reading Jenna's story... I have many stories similiar to hers and she is able to make me laugh as I read her story. Nice book.... Grilled out steak for supper and then took a long hot bath to soothe my aching muscles. Now back to my book..... good night....
